Niklas Eriksson – PGA Professional of the year

Congratulations to Niklas Eriksson, Golfstore Pro at A6 Golf Club – who was recently named PGA Professional of the Year! Of course, we had to go and congratulate Niklas in person. He shared his thoughts and tips to both golfers and colleagues.

Congratulations Niklas, how did it feel to win this award?
Since it was my colleagues who nominated me, it feels extra special! This is proofthat my long-term work has been recognized. Really great!

What did you focus on last year that brought you here?
It’s probably a mix of things. I’ve been working on my personal brand for a long time. And I really want to share my knowledge and inspire others. I think people see that and word gets around.

What inspires you?
People who are extremely talented and dedicated to what they do. It can be anything from designing clubs, running a store to keep working on your game to play your best golf.

What are your top 3 tips for golfers looking to take their game to the next level?

• Decide what your goal is with your golf.
• Get help from someone with knowledge, such as the pros at the club.
• Have a long-term plan.

And finally, what are your top 3 tips for your fellow golf pros?

• Look in the mirror and ask yourself: “Do I inspire my clients every single day?”
• Practice what you preach – be a role model.
• Make a long-term plan but set milestones. It’s fine to good at many things – but dare to be great at one.
